thoughts from the director

“Those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

God has certainly called us on quite an adventure.  Home Schooling is a wonderful privilege, as well as a daunting challenge.  But take heart, and be encouraged, since God has called us, He will equip us.  We strive with His power, which works in us mightily (Col. 1:29).
We are part of an amazing heritage of Christian education in our nation. “America was founded by people of the Word, Christian men and women armed with truth, trained to govern themselves privately and publicly, and with a sense of domestic and civil duty ” (Youmans) . We have the unique opportunity to be a part of God’s restoring Christian character and scholarship in our nation.
I believe that God is changing this nation through a remnant, that remnant is you and me.   Just as God used Gideon with a small remnant “lest Israel claim glory for itself,” God will use those who have been called to Home School.  It is a job much too big for us. It is a job we are only able to do as we lean on Him, and cry out to Him.  As we do, He will show us great and mighty things (Jeremiah 33:3) .
God will be able to use our children in a unique way, in a mighty way, because this is His work, and because we have trusted Him in our obedience.  Be encouraged; as we turn to Jesus Christ, the Living Word, The Master Teacher, the only Foundation for all sound knowledge and learning, He will provide much fruit. God Bless you in this new school year.

Your Director,

Susan DeCamp

Education Sets the Course
of Our Nation

"To educate the children of today is to construct the foundation of the nation of tomorrow. Faithless teaching makes for unfaithful citizens. Shall our nation continue in the faith of our Founding Fathers or shall we veer in the direction of secularizing the citizens of tomorrow? This is not merely one of our nation's problems. It is the problem of all problems, for as we educate our youth today so will be our nation tomorrow . . . To save our country from the dry rot of secularism we are in need of a nationwide education that honors God and that teaches study content in the light of God's Word. "
